Research Activity
In the last 15 years LS research was aimed at the study of the physiology of emotions. In particular LS studied the autonomic responses and the cerebral dynamics evoked by fearful/aversive stimuli in both healthy individuals and phobic patients.
LS also studied the modulation exerted by the hypnotic trait on the autonomic responses elicited by suggestions of relaxation and fear. She also studied the neuropsychological characteristics (spatial attention, memory) related to the hypnotic trait.
In parallel LS has been involved in a series of research aimed at characterizing the Slow wave Sleep and at studying the effect of sleep on motor imagery learning and consolidation as well as
information reorganization.
